Lovely building, very good service and in a quiet but convenient location for Wem High St. Lovely breakfast with plenty of choice. I had a single room overlooking the beautiful grounds. The room and en-suite were a little tired and could do with a refresh but the bed was comfortable and the room spacious and full of Georgian character. The duvet weight was too heavy for summer so I slept under a throw with the window open as it was a very warm night. The staff were helpful and attentive. The Old Rectory is good value and I would stay there again.
